September 30 – Keep Walking in Prayer
Scripture
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
Romans 12:12 (ESV)
“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” (KJV)
Encouragement
For thirty days, we have been walking in prayer.
We have learned to come to God, pour out our hearts, listen through His Word, pray for others, confess our sins, ask for wisdom, surrender our worries, wait on His timing, and trust His will.
But walking in prayer was never meant to end with Day 30.
Paul tells us to “be constant in prayer.”
Constant prayer is prayer that continues through every season of life.
When there is hope, pray.
When there is tribulation, pray.
When God answers, pray with thanksgiving.
When the answer has not come, keep praying.
When you know exactly what to say, pray.
When you have no words, come to Him anyway.
Prayer is not simply a spiritual habit we check off our list. It is part of our daily relationship with our heavenly Father.
There will be days when prayer feels natural and days when it requires perseverance. There may be seasons when God seems very near and others when we must trust what we know from His Word even when we do not feel His presence.
Keep praying.
The same God who heard your first prayer this month will hear you tomorrow.
And the next day.
And every day after that.
Walking in prayer means walking through life with our hearts continually turned toward God—trusting Him, depending on Him, talking with Him, and allowing His Word to guide us.
Day 30 may be the end of this series.
But it does not have to be the end of the journey.
Keep walking.
Keep trusting.
Keep praying.
Prayer
Dear unchanging Father,
Thank You for the privilege of prayer. Thank You for hearing me, teaching me, strengthening me, and inviting me to bring every part of my life to You. Help me not to leave behind what You have taught me during these thirty days. Make prayer a constant part of my walk with You. In joyful seasons, difficult seasons, answered prayers, and seasons of waiting, keep my heart turned toward You. May I continue growing closer to You as I walk with You each day. In Jesus’ precious name I pray, amen.
Thought for Today
Day 30 may end this series, but my walk in prayer continues.
